The reinforced brick and masonry work are one example. It was interesting to us, when we were in the UK, to see unreinforced masonry and brick- it's just not something we are used to seeing in California. We have several historic buildings near us, and the retrofitting for Earthquakes has been interesting- and quite extensive.
