Thanks. So far McCain and Hagel interest me on the Republican side with Warner and maybe Biden on the Democratic side. Biden is a character and smart as a whip but his mouth often outruns his brain cells, and I think he has some impulse control issues.

It would be nice to see the Republicans put up a thoughtful vet in the Bush Senior mold.

Apart from Frist, however, is anyone likely to make a big run further to the right? I can't think of any prominent names unless Guiliani goes for it, but I vaguely recall hearing that he wouldn't.
