how one can be persecuted because of his nationality if everyone else is of the same nationality? Yeah I understand your definition, I just think it is not accepted by the average English speaker. Ethnic group is a better term. Most English speakers that I know would say Tibetan is an ethnic group, not a nationality. The main reason being that nationality begins with nation. Not much point in continuing here, we can agree to disagree...?
