Ho, ho, you forget Islam, especially fundamentalist Islam, which is today a political movement disguised as a religion. And indeed, considering the history of the Jews as a landless nation who were condemned by their religion to wander, Islam, as a whole, can also be regarded both a religion and a nation. The so-called countries which exist today in the Middle East are merely the creation of Britain and France in an attempt the divide and rule the Muslims and, indeed, to promote war amongst them.

If the Muslims had had their way, Islam would have been a caliphate and, in other words, it would also have been a religious fantasy made true. Unfortunately for the true believers, the West and the oil got in the way. This is what bin Laden's big gripe was all about. So let's not forget that BOTH Islam and the Jewish religion are political movements dressed up in transcendental clothes -- both seek earthly rewards for spiritual beliefs. And, indeed, for a long time so did Christianity. In fact, George Bush would still like the see the US as a fundamentalist Christian country. |
