You are all smoke and mirrors Mish. Money supply is an important consideration and contributes to inflation -- nobody argues otherwise. However, only a few knuckle draggers on the fringe think that money supply (much less money supply most narrowing defined) and inflation are one and the same thing.

Try as hard as you like to make it seem impossibly complicated, but the fifty pound fly in the ointment you are trying to sell won't go away -- inflation is about prices and not just money supply.
