It probably has a lot to do with the Agfa Arbitration decision which might have come down as early as last week, but I understand is subject to a gag order until sometime in September. Industry experts who have followed this proceeding with interest through the patent re-examination requests filed by PRST commencing on September 15, 1995 have told me all along that Agfa will prevail thus throwing open the whole plate market to all comers. As I have posted many times before, when a critical mass of plate cosuming hardware becomes evident, the competition will become intense and the margins will shrink significantly.
