Crimson > Did the Danish imam who travelled round the Muslim world pleading for this show the same anger at Danish troops being sent to Iraq?

Tariq Ali misses an important point. The imam is a religious leader and not a political one. Had he protested at the movement of Danish troops he would have revealed a political agenda and by doing so he could have been regarded as an enemy of the Danish state and incarcerated.
