>>Their plan was to have I20 in the first version, but they could not find the "products" (i.e. vaporware) ready from Intel and Wind River (IxWorks).<<

Are you saying that WIND will get to collect TWO royalties for each one of these Radisys boards??? One from Intel for IxWorks (bundled with the I960RP), and one from Radisys for VxWorks? Radisys must have really want to use this i960RP chip bad!!! Intel supplies the chip -- What product was not ready from Intel? What was the hold-up on IxWorks? What is your source for this information? BTW, here is the complete Radisys press release on the SPIRIT-6000 board: biz.yahoo.com

>>I2O is planned for the next version (1q98).<<

So Radisys has now found the missing I2O component(s)?

>>In addition, there's a need for a peer that is I20 enabled, but there are none in the market. You may want to refer to a small write-up in the latest issue of RTC magazine on I20/DSP and Telecom.<<

The only issue of RTC Magazine that I could find online was July, and it did not have the article you referenced. Can you please summarize it?
