I should have thought it was self-evident that the Democraats do not rate the WOT as the top issue facing America.

So the Dems can not possibly be serious about the WOT if it is not their top issue?

Perhaps it is because they see it in perspective.

Perhaps they think it is absurd to declare war on a tactic. We did not declare war against blitzkreig or amphibious landings in WWII.

We also did not invade Mexico after Pearl Harbor.

Perhaps the Dems see that the threat from Islamic fanatics is a challenge, but not a threat that can bring down our Republic.

Perhaps they see that we are more of a threat to bring down our own republic by our over reaction to terrorists.

Perhaps they think that we should stop doing things that make the problem worse, but every time they suggest such a thing, those who are wetting their beds in fear shriek that we need to turn the entire ME into a sheet of glass.

Perhaps the Dems are not cowering in a corner, fearful of every time that Saddam bin Zharkawi sneezes?

Since I am not a Dem, I can only surmise.

But I am all for bringing rational thought to the issue.
