If one of the birdshot entered Whittingtons heart he must have been very close to dead eye dick when he was shot.

The story they're trying to sell to the public just doesn't make sense. Cheney has been around guns long enough to know better than to shoot one of his hunting buddies if he was sober enough.I think it was more likely that tricky dick jr was hunting with his safety off, heard a small noise behind him, swung around quickly and was so startled when he saw the old man there he flinched and the gun went off. Something along this line is much more likely than the story that they're feeding us.

I doubt if he was dead drunk when he shot the guy but i'll bet he had been taking a nip every so often all during the hunt.

So far, from what we know there are several things about the story which bother. They were road hunting, shooting pen raised half tame birds and tried to tell us how minor the injuries were when they were much more serious. Whittington was taken to the first hospital in the ambulance that follows the liable to die any minute dick around. After arriving at the first hospital he was then air lifted to the second hospital and put in intensive care. That wasn't a minor injury. McClellan will probably tell the press the first hospital was out of bandaids.

Another thing which is bothersome is cheney wouldn't meet with a lawman who wanted to investigate till the next day. Either they needed time to get everyones stories straight or he was drinking, probably drinking. The 18 hour period before the media was informed and when it was it wasn't even done by the VP's office is inexcusable.
