Not totally serious, but not 110% convinced that the all-security-all-the-time mindset couldn't go that far in a mental break with reality.

But I have enough faith in the rest of America and its institutions to know that any attempt to postpone elections for security reasons would fail in a popular uproar.

At least I hope so.
