I record Stewart and Colbert, too. I just record them during the day. My DVR (non-TIVO--unwilling to pay them a monthly fee) updates its programming via the cable in the wee small hours and the DVR has to be off for the update to work so I avoid recording during those hours if I have an alternative. I like Boston Legal, too. I've recorded the whole season without watching and some cold and rainy weekend I'll watch them all. Marvelous show.
