Muqtada Al-Sadr and the insurgents are not Al Qaeda folks. They are local Iraqis and they want the US out of their country. The Al Qaeda folks did not exist in Iraq under Saddam. They entered Iraq after the US went in. And they entered in pursuit of the US troops.

But then after the Jordanian hotel bombings, Al Qaeda fell silent. They were silenced by the Jordanians.

It is important to distinguish between the home grown insurgency which wants the military out of their country and the Al Qaeda who are foreigners.

When Bush and Cheney tell the American people that after the US troops leave Iraq, Al Qaeda will take over, it is a false statement made deliberately by Bush to mislead (Weapons of Mis Direction)the American people.

Are you aware that currently, the US is negotiating behind the scenes with insurgents and that is why there is relative peace in Iraq. Bush wants to get out of Iraq by handing it to the Iraqis. Doing so will free him up to deal with Iran.

So let us ask, why is it that Bush kept lying to us that Al Qaeda will take over Iraq when he knew all along that it is not true?
