Number one, I'm not a republican. Number two, just remembering Chappaquiddick in the context of Cheney's shooting accident is genuinely illustrative of the hypocrisy involved when folks vote for that man, yet would tar and feather Cheney for a relative nothing like this, for which we hear chants of incompetence and impeachment.

I don't see that you offered any news for me. The Scarborough case, so far as I know, is not illustrative of the hypocrisy I plainly see. I do know the flap over this SHOULD go away, unlike the far more egregious Kennedy case.

But here's what must be news for you: being a Senator vs a Vice President, doesn't affect the laws of common sense (not to mention that the timeframes involved don't either).
