Royal Television Society (RTS) Technology Award for its DIVAworks solution
BOULDER, Colo. — Dec. 14, 2005 — Front Porch Digital (FPD), the Broadcast and Media Division of Incentra Solutions, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ICNS), has been awarded a Royal Television Society (RTS) Technology Award for its DIVAworks solution, which won in the content management category. The RTS Technology Awards recognize excellence in technological activities from “scene-to-screen and back.”
“The jury said that the winning technology’s Web-based interface seems to include all the necessary functionality to support its turnkey approach, and they were impressed both with the quality of the entry and with its ability to simplify the complexities of asset management along with its potential cost-effectiveness,” announced Stephen Cole, veteran BBC news anchor and BAFTA member, during the ceremony. DIVAworks offers the power of Front Porch Digital’s award-winning DIVArchive in a plug-and-play appliance by combining a dual-CPU server, 2 TB of near-line storage, and a 10-cassette data tape library, all operating under control of DIVArchive software. Available tape externalization allows users to expand the system’s capacity to any extent required. The flexible content management solution also supports tape import/export functionality to allow for easy transport of content between systems located at different facilities on a tape-by-tape basis, empowering the customer to ingest content at a central location and disseminate it efficiently to other facilities in an enterprise.
“The RTS Awards are a gold standard of achievement in the television community, and we are extremely honored that our DIVAworks solution was selected for this prestigious distinction from a remarkable field of innovative broadcast technologies,” said Rino Petricola, managing director and vice president of Front Porch Digital International.
