I agree. A recent review of neworking equip in PC Magazine showed Microcom to be the dominant failure, by a wide margin. How CPQ keeps foisting off inferior product on its customers is beyond me. I can't locate which issue or what exact equip was reviewed, but a search of the PC Mag web site would turn up the article. CPQ makes excellent servers and average PCs and notebooks, so IMO they could best use their resources to making better PCs and notebooks.

It seems a little odd to be announcing major product development initiatives at this stage of the game. I have a lot of respect for the Intel R&D guys, but it seems to me that COMS has "a little" more experience in designing and manufacturing NICs etc.
