Gore's transition to a ramsey clark like figure has been remarkable. I think it was in 1984 when he was in NY running for the democratic nomination for president, I met him and he seemed like a perfectly reasonable guy. He was running as a conservative democrat back then against Mondale i believe.
Now he looks like he is possessed so as bad as some think bush is and as indecisive as some think kerry would have been, perhaps algore would have been the worse of the three. Not a good threesome to say the least.
