"He let his friends blame the victim."

Yeah, I heard that disgusting sound bite repeated over and over on a talk show. One person was trying to get at the details of the event and the left wing pundit kept yelling over her that she was blaming the victim.

For the sake of clarity, the phrase 'blame the victim' was popularized to point out that a victims of deliberate assault should not be blamed for the decisions of their assailants.

In accidents Ed, it is often completely the fault of the injured person or as a result of their contributions to the situation. In this situation there is an injured person who is the suffering a gun shot wound and his friend who is probably suffering from deep loss and regret for having fired the shot. I have not read one credible account that says it was anything but a very unfortunate ACCIDENT Ed. But you feel free to feed on their suffering all you want. You obviously believe you should get something from Chenney on top of the suffering and loss he is already experiencing.

Right on Ed, HE OWES it to YOU. >Sarcasm<

"Where's the "honor" in that? Ed

I am beginning to think you are not sincerely concerned with whether or not people behave honorably.

"Now that the press is not letting go, however, he'll have to."

Wow. That sounds like a 'gotcha'. So you are rooting for the media frenzie to kick the crap out of the republicans, who are suffering deeply from a very personal tragedy that is none of our business, right?
