Remember, bin Laden has ALWAYS KNOWN that he would never have the military might to be anything more then a pin-prick to the US. His PLAN all along was to PROVOKE the US into foolish actions, self-defeating actions, 'shooting-ourselves-in-the-foot actions' that would ENHANCE his standing in the Islamic world, and play to his benefit, increase recruitment and money-flow to his cause.... Why, in the bin Laden videotape aired IMMEDIATELY AFTER the 9-11 attacks, he re-confirmed much of what he'd been saying all alone... and spelled it out for even the DIM to see: "The American government and the West will lead the American people into an unbearable Hell and a choking life... Freedom and Human Rights in America are doomed...." (He was counting on the American giant to act foolishly and counter-productively....)
