Now you're a tiny bit closer to the truth, but like I said that is what some think makes Hume just as bad as the rest.

You would have been even closer if you had said..... Brit Hume is a valuable asset for the far right and does his best to advance their agenda at every available opportunity while trying to come across as impartial. He is much more subtle in his presentation of what he reports the facts to be and this endears him to the more middle of the road republicans. The right wing already has enough puppets which shout so much hate and derision for the left that the party needs someone like Hume who can preach to and fool some of the more moderate republicans.
