BTW, I applaud him for taking two from each side. I'm not so sure about that. If the sides had started out even, then it would make more sense to me. Given that they weren't (IMO but I think not in Dale's), I would prefer applying the same criteria to everyone. I'm reminded of American Idol forcing the next round to be half boys and half girls. I don't agree with that, either. I think they should take the 24 best. <g> But then, I don't make the rules for either... I offered it not as an accusation but as a theory to explain the backstory that is apparently still not been disclosed. One of the problems with leaving an information gap is that people fill the gaps with speculation. Alcohol cannot be ruled out based on what we know. OTOH, the speculation is has a pretty thin foundation. EDIT: And I'm not sure it matters if he was drinking or not. Someone tell me why it matters.
