However, it is not a justifiable reason to avoid making a critical analysis of the other side's foibles.

I'm not suggesting avoiding critical analysis. But the party in power sets and administers programs. They have the responsibility and accountability. They have to take the heat. There's just less to criticize about the opposition. You can criticize them for their behavior and attitude, for sure. And for their votes in Congress. But for little if any of policy of program failure.

Aw shucks, just color me stubborn on this aspect of thread discussions.

If your real point, the point behind the point, is that the thread leans against Bush, I won't argue that.
