Yes but what would that mean? A secular bear in oil stocks or just years of sideways like we saw from 1997 to 2003? Or perhaps just a multi-month sharp correction of the impulse before it resumes? Its all just conjecture right now, there is so little to go on.

If that index gives me 895, I'll be watching for a resumption of the bull, wave-wise it would simply be a flat correction since Sept 2005. I'll also be looking for Barron's stories about the end of the oil boom.

(and watching to see if those folks who went to Calgary to become realtors come back.-g)
