How many bird shot pellets in a shotgun shell? How fast is a pellet dislodged? I think a .22 shell goes at about 1100 feet per second... If that shell only had 100 pellets and that is how many hit the victim and the victim is 2 feet wide how far to the "hit" would equal the shell dispersion pattern to equal 100 pellets in a two foot wide target?
