I've never been a fan of Ezra Levant. I could give you a paragraph slagging him. But ... I happened to hear a portion of Anna Maria Tremonti's show "The Current" on CBC this morning. Ezra and the chief editor of the Ottawa Citizen were the guests. Ezra did more than hold his own -- by the end of the segment, Anna Maria was audibly frustrated and angry. She and Mr. Anderson simply failed to refute Ezra's arguments. Ezra bearded the lion in its den. I've met Anna Maria -- in person she's engaging and seemingly well-informed. I've never met Ezra; his public persona has always seemed self-aggrandizing. If she's the class of the CBC, she ought to have eaten him for breakfast. Instead, Ezra took charge of a forum loaded against him, and made excellent points his opponents were unable to counter. Well worth a listen, if the CBC has the nerve to add it to the archives.
