Homeland Security Group International Ballistics Division to Brief Capital Hill on Latest Testing Results
DEL MAR, CA, Feb 16, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Homeland Security Group International (OTC: HMSG) announced today that HMSG will be presenting the results of recently completed ballistic tests to several Congressional representatives during a five-day visit to Capital Hill from 02-13-06 through 02-18-06. HMSG has scheduled appointments with members of the Senate Armed Services Committee to show videos of testing and data and answer questions pertaining to availability of new, lightweight ballistic capable compounds. "This visit is meant to open the eyes of policymakers that there are alternative compounds and technologies available to help better protect our troops and their mechanized transport equipment from the threat of high velocity rounds," commented Mark Wilson, Director of HMSG Security Division.
HMSG will also be assisting the "Freedom Is Not Free" organization during briefings on Capital Hill and at the Pentagon concerning the private funding of a Brain Trauma Unit proposed for construction at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, California.
"We have experienced all too often that our wounded troops suffering from severe head trauma have had to be flown to hospitals such as Brook Army Medical Center in Texas to receive specialized head and brain trauma treatment. We are proposing the privately funded construction and donation of a specialized brain trauma unit on the west coast at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, California," said Wilson. "The Freedom Is Not Free Foundation has garnered massive support from the civilian and corporate communities for such a site and we will be presenting our proposal for a Private Sector/Government funded partnership to make sure this project comes to fruition."
