AH, but between Windows and Macs - which one shuts down faster?

My PC takes forever (i.e. it hangs when trying to shutdown), so any Mac is faster in my view. Haven't heard much about Macs having this type of problem, but tons on Windows.

Who still shutdowns anymore? I'll do it for vacations and maybe a long weekend, but not for overnight. Most systems should go into low power mode, such as displays that sleep, and hard drives that spin down. Both MacOS and Windows XP are far more stable than their previous generation.

Can't wait till the instant boot systems come out soon.
