You are leaving out the tremendous effect this would have on one of our largest if not the largest industry of manufacturing jobs. The effects would be horrendous. I think the better solution is to proceed with flex fuel engines and open up more domestic drilling whilst developing the fuel of the future which I am sure is likely 25 or more years away. As to the sea lanes, we will always be guarding them whether we import oil or not. We are the most global of all the global economies and thus we must keep the sea lanes open and safe. jdn
