President George W. Bush will travel to Auburn Hills Monday to talk about energy initiatives.

It will be the president’s second visit to the state since the 2004 election when Bush lost the state to Democrat John Kerry. He spoke at the Detroit Economic Club last February.

Although the White House wouldn’t confirm details of the visit, state Republicans said Bush would visit Energy Conversion Devices, an Auburn Hills company that develops and manufactures alternative energy products. Officials at Energy Conversion Devices said they couldn’t comment.

The White House said Bush will start his day in Milwaukee, also talking about energy, before traveling to Michigan.
