Very briefly, he was responding to reader e-mail. He has been expecting a rally in europe and some of these were follow-up responses to questions:
Phillips Electronics (77,PHG) - recommended at 30, not as cheap, but hold for 100 by year 2000.
Montedison (6,MNT) - recommeded before, hasn't done anything - dont give up but hold for 12 within a few years. Will participate in Europe rally.
Electrolux (70,ELUXY) recommended before at 55, expecting 75, hang on for 100. Note 10% yield.
Alcatel (26,ALA) and Repsol (40,REP) up a little since recommended but still have 35% left in them.

BTW: Mike has on-line source. The title of the article is "When should you get out?" and it's under "portfolio stategy" in the "money and investment" section the latest issue (Sept 22 is date on paper).

Good investing,
