The only good examples of such I can think of are the Lithuanian SS battalions and the Croatian pro-Nazi fighters (Ustase?), who happily fought against their former dictators, and possibly the Vichy French and Quisling... not really great company to have. Even the Italians (save the Stalinist/Communists) fought to defend Mussolini, because he was theirs...

I can't off-hand think of any respectable group that has welcomed the foreign removal of a home-grown leader, except as an extremely short-term step to garnering their own power. The nearest I can come is the unpleasant supporters of the Shah of Iran, our replacement for ? Mossadeq (was he democratically elected??), and we know how and why THAT ended.
