OT---rrufff---I couldn't agree more with you about the absolute best for our soldiers and would like to take this opportunity to elaborate on salutations. The importance of recognition is HUGE for our soldiers to receive, albeit seemingly simple. I have been thanked and berated on TV and in books or newspapers for the service I gave, but the ones that had the greatest impact on me where very few and from the most surprising and innocent of people/places, eg; Last year, while asking for an item at the local Stop & Shop, a teenage girl waiting on me noticed a small Globe and Anchor insignia on my jacket to which she simply said, "thank you" while nodding at the patch. I smiled and left, but the effect it had on me was and is, a very special moment that I won't forget. So, thanks for your's and I encourage others to say something simple and free(especially to the youngest of our military members), "thank you"(pass it on).eom
