"This isn't about a hunting accident. It's about how the office of the vice president — and the Bush administration — does business. It suggests a sloppiness and an inattention to detail that ill-becomes the world's only superpower. ... The American people expect the top offices of the executive branch to be run competently and efficiently. Maybe they are. Still, the circumstances surrounding Vice President Cheney's hunting accident do not inspire confidence in the administration as a whole, and that can matter greatly when the stakes are considerably higher."
