Well, that Al Gore for you. A typical democratic "bomb-thrower" who is all about posturing himself for political gain regardless of the cost to the nation at large.

Recall that this is the same guy who, in exchange for casting an approving vote for Operation Desert Storm back in 1991, was negotiating how much "face time" he would be granted in front of the cameras.

This is also the guy who loved to lamblast Bush as being beholding to the oil companies, yet never admitted his own oil interests with Occidental (OXY), from which he has profited greatly, partly as a result of his advocacy of selling the Elk Hills oil reserve.

But most of all, this is the guy who couldn't even win his home state during the presidential election.. Which tells us that the good folks of Tennessee knew more about him than the rest of the country.
