When every media outlet I have seen, heard or read lately topped their news with the latest Cheney update, I think it's a fair assumption that Fox was deliberately avoiding giving the story so much prominence by running a tabloid story that they thought would engage their viewers.

Kinda like watching American Idol instead of a documentary on starvation in Africa. More mindless entertainment (if you can call it that, it's not on my list of shows to watch) and less of a burden on the political psyche.

Like someone said earlier, I support Fox's right to be a slanted news outlet 110%. But it's obvious to all how they lean and why.
