I agree in the sense that we should try and deal with the democratically elected government. However, dealing with them and continuing to funnel official government taxpayer dollars to an organization which condones and supports terrorism is the wrong way to go about influencing change.

Money talks, and money can have an influence. We should completely stop giving them money until they at least renounce terrorism and make open statements that Israel has a right to exist. We should also encourage our European allies to stop funding them as well. The billions of dollars doesn't appear to have gone toward helping the poor anyway, so the money has been wasted on what appears to be the support of electing a terrorist organization.

I would also seriously consider cutting off aid to Israel and Egypt. It's time these countries grew up and accepting their own responsibilities without the support of hard working Americans taxpayers.
