it's interesting that today you can post about the possibility of abject failure in Iraq.
Abject failure would be our having done nothing and merely permitted another dictatorial regime to replace Saddam's.
Abject failure will occur when we're lose our will to confront Jihadists and other associated Islamo-Fascists on their own turf.
Abject failure will occur when the entire region has been "Talibanized" because certain individuals deemed that the population of the region was not "suited" for democratic ideas.
Abject failure will occur when "evil prevails when good men fail to act".
You know, the people who had naive, unsupportable notions concerning the psychology, politics and culture of the middle east.
Oh.. you mean the same ones who had the same unsupportable notions about Asian, Latin, and Africans? That they are all somehow pre-destined to live in tyranny and that they are too "sub-human" to have thoughts of individuality and human rights to pursue a destiny of their own choice?
The people who spent hundreds of billions of valuable dollars which could have been put to good use both here and abroad. The people who diverted brainpower and manpower from the war on terror and expended it in Iraq.
Yeah... I know that you probably believe that Arabs are unworthy of such "civilized values"..
And you have the gall to wonder why we're unpopular? It's because people like yourself feed this self-hating view of freedom and democracy, like its something that only the Western nations are capable of understanding.
And as for spending hundred of billions of valuable dollars there, would you rather spend TRILLIONS of dollars 10 years from now when the entire region has become a gigantic Islamo-Fascist playground??
What YOU NEED TO ADMIT is that the trend toward fanaticism has been in place for years now. The "buds" are only beginning to "blossom" as millions of young people who have been brainwashed in madrassas around the region are reaching adulthood and taking the ultimate step on the path of Jihad.
It's going to get worse CD.. And it's going to CONTINUE to get worse unless WE have the intestinal fortitude to take direct action on the very people who promote Islamo-Fascists and militant religious beliefs. If that means "eliminating" radical clerics, then so be it, preferably making it look like a rival did it.
Until people like you smarten up and recognize that this is not just a bad dream that you're eventually going to wake up from, but a strategic war of ideologies that will shape the future of over a billion people, the militants will have the upper hand.
They don't doubt their cause. And for some stupid reason, people like you doubt our cause (freedom and democracy)..
So what makes you think the Arab mind is going to respect an ideology that you don't believe is worth fighting for, or is only for the wealthy and powerful??
