Don't know, but would speculate 26-28"...that site also used a rule of thumb that called for an inch spread for every foot from the barrel. That certainly wasn't and hasn't been my experience. The bottom line is that the man is out of the hospital and looking pretty good. At the range they are calling for, the absence of apparent massive tissue damage would have meant only a few pellets from the outer part of the pattern would have made contact...2 or 3 pellets maybe. It couldn't have been a direct hit(at 15-18 feet).....I am willing to wager a pretty good chunk of change on that.
