re: BTW, he claims his wife is Jewish ;)

I feel sorry for his wife either jewish or not

re: Honestly, I do joke a lot but I didn't this time.

"about Saran Wrap and all those other things we buy while paying a kosher tax to the organized rabbis in the USA. he definitely had a point there."

organized rabbis? There are might be some Jewish organizations but organized rabbis?

I am personally not religious and could not care less

1) kosher label is to make the product more attractive to wider range of users. There are millions of Jews who would not use the product otherwise and they have the right to use what they want

2) the price is usually inversely proportional to the size of the market.Make your own conclusions from that....

3) the jewish taxes are not specifically spend on kosher farms only and used to subsidize non-kosher farms as well. So if you don't want to have any spending on Jews the fare thing would be for Jewish taxes not to be used on products that are not used by Jews.

4) if there would be "organized rabbis" then the Saran Wrap would be the very last thing on their mind.

So I do hope it was a joke
