Number of subsicribers that deactivate service over a given period. Expressed in a percentage by month. "Subscribers"? As in "someone who is paying for the service"? My point, in case you're not getting it, is that churn, to be meaningful, has to measure the propensity of a paying customer to leave the service. It means nothing to lump paying customers with those who are receiving complimentary/promo service.
