that is another thing, start drawing "infinite" power from the wind and see what would happened to your environment even if you do not care for birds

lets assume that you manage to put your panels in the desert. It's a major effort but what the hell....
1) You would need massive storage for energy because with each rain your power would be gone and you would need to draw on reserves. We don't have technology for storing that much energy.
2) you would need to maintain the panels. Each time the desert wind blows you would need to clean them
3) you will kill of the desert life
4) windmills are even worse

So if you are ready to spend your annual income on 1 day worth of electricity then you are ready for solar panels and windmills
