So are fiscal conservatives doing good in the sight of "the Lord"?

What is a fiscal conservative?

You can say conservatives are trying to do what's fair,

Never. No one knows what is fair. That's why the only economic principle that works is free-for-all, that is, free markets. Whenever you have a free market and it looks unfair, know that it's the quintessence of fair. Truly fair always looks unfair. You can't identify it as being fair. Haven't you learned anything from the Soviet Union?

because they think they are doing good,

To the extent they think so, they achieve the opposite. The only right thing to do is to get out of the way and let people do what they do naturally.

which only they know.

If it's true for 'crats, it's true for everyone else too.

Why is the lord on the side of fiscal conservatism?

Since you don't know what "fiscal conservatism" is, how can you reach that conclusion? Indeed, there is no meaningful definition of "fiscal conservatism". It's just another mythical notion that pushes the buttons of various fools in contradictory ways.

Really don't get the biblical reference.

When Jesus said to the rich man who had asked what he had to do to attain heaven, Jesus said, "sell all that you own, take the money, give it to the poor, and follow me". Jesus was telling the rich man that he was poor. Did you get that?

It can cut both ways.

You can cut any way you want, but also you can use a knife to prepare your meal.

Isn't it right to be fiscally conservative in most cases because a case can be made that it just makes more sense?

If the US elected to have no taxes on capital, a flat tax on income of 10% on all tax paying entities, the country would become inconceivably rich. I don't know if that's a good thing. I agree with Jesus.
