dick Gregory plays the bad boy news man at the white house briefings. he has been doing this with outrageous questions and remarks since joining this team.. He acts out even more if it will get him tv coverage.
of course you can expect further follow up with imus in the morning laughing, both of them, over the prior days encounters with the white house press representative. Gregory loves the action, he is not seeking news but trying to be part of the news. I assume nbc sponsors this whole program.. for example.
you get Gregory on chris matthews show, another msnbc show. you got imus msnbc, matthews, again on sunday mornings, nbc. Matthews has gone wild over the cheney shooting, chris looks like he's on drugs talking about the incident. Gregory feeds him the raw meat.
gregory wants to go up the org chart at nbc and needs to take on this adm. not just be a part of the washington press but stand out from the crowd. make the news where there is no news, bring in viewers.
real news? not important,, excitement,, yes that is entertainment was nbc is interested in.
Watching gregory is like the devil. He doesn't have an interest in canned responses rather he wants the gotcha items. |
