Hey Bob, Keep up with the tax laws! " ... those darn dividends go to the tax man." At the same rate as LT capital gains my friend! So sweet, careful investing could result in a max tax of only 15% (dividends and LT cap gains). If I was still working and had a great year, between income taxes, SS taxes, state taxes, self employment taxes over half "my great year" would be gone. I'm liking this retired thing! Happy hunting and for you waiting. Chris PS: Oh yea, regarding that patience thing, IMHO sitting with a dead stock for many years is not patience. Opportunities abound to be that 'patient'. While you are being good and patient, I'm out looking for and finding new opportunities. I like the strategy of being watchful over old friends. But when the trend is not your friend, you must be able to let go.
