until the public stops thinking in absolute terms (which begins with not having absolutist declarations aimed at them 24/7), we won't escape the clutches of the political campaign consultants skilled at manipulating those sentiments into 51% victories that lapse into 40% minorities later.


Very good point and I agree. And my question in return is that should we continue to or stop paying that $1 in our tax forms. Does it help or hurt our democracy? I have an opinion but I would like to hear what others have to say.
