The problem A.S. is that increasingly it seems militant extremists aren't just the fringe among Muslims any more. Need proof? Read the latest paper on the cartoon protest where angry Muslims are killing each other, burning buildings and cars, and issuing fatwas and contracts on cartoonists' and authors' heads. Islam is militant. Islam is extreme. What do you do when an entire religion is militant and extreme? I'd say we are at war with modern Islam. Modern Islam is at war with us. Sticking our head in the sand isn't going to make that go away. They don't like our culture and what's more they aren't content to live with us side by side. They want to eliminate our culture. They have stated that as their goal. Their countries routinely call us the Great Satan and call for Death to America. Do you think they are just joking? No sane person would call that a joke.
