re: 2006 commodities

The late Willard Sparks. A quick google search can reveal the impact of Mr. Sparks' life on commodities.....namely grains and cattle. Well from what I hear the government is cutting subsidies to farmers this year on "row" crops. This explains the recent run in soybeans, wheat, etc. One thing about the Sparks family is that they are one of the largest land holders in Missouri. And if they say that only the "big" farmers will be able to make money then this could be a huge trade for the remainder of the year. The reason I say this is because they are not going to plant any row crops this year on their land (and they are not that small of an outfit.) At least this is what I heard. So I would think less supply with steady or increasing demand = I think you know the answer. Higher prices on row crops. - JT
