I thought Clinton did a good job of setting the Dems in the right direction, which they have since abandoned, but your are of course entitled to your opinion. He understood popular sentiment better than most. Perhaps not as well as Reagan, but very close.

Part of the incredibly effective GOP political strategy has been having Dems In Name Only consistently pop up as Congresscritters, journalists, etc.
