FiloF-RE: MERCK
I've done a little work on Merck. First, I currently own no shares in the companies I mention. I am by no means recommend them. Remember my caveat. "LISTEN TO WHAT EVERYBODY HAS TO SAY, BUT DO WHAT YOU THINK IS RIGHT YOURSELF"
The names I like, but there are many other possibilities, if Merck does decide to buy. Feel free to add possible names, comments, both negative and positive. RR
ARIA-Ariad Pharmaceuticals Inc. Small fry, but interesting-Medinol connection (devices)Soros connection-Director connection.Elizabeth H.S. Wyatt, one of our directors since June 2002, held various senior management positions over a period of twenty years at Merck & Co., Inc., most recently, from 1992 to 2000, as Vice President, Corporate Licensing. She also served in leadership positions in corporate licensing from 1980 to 1992 at Merck.

Schering-Plough-Even though they say no to a big merger. I think possibly, yes. Due to its availability and collaborations with Merck.
