I do think that a Bush pull out won't be viewed as positively as one made by another president. I think Bush has about the same credibility with folks in the ME as Satan would have with Mr. Robertson (assuming Pat could recognize Satan).

So while I hope for a draw down, it will be regrettable if the pull out comes during Bush's term- because I think the PR benefits will be mostly wasted. On the other hand if it saves the lives of American men and women, it's not all bad if it happens sooner, rather than later. It think irrespective of when it happens, Iraq will face some dark days- and bloodshed.
